Can I just thank you for an awesome weekend. I need to give credit
where credit is dues and this was a really really good rally.
Catching up with old friends on the Friday night was good, the kids
really enjoyed being able to get involved with the craft as well,
normally it's an early bed time for them!! The lady (Mrs Davies?) from
Trusthorpe via North London was a hoot - very talented to have made all
those Sanpan's.
The weather was unbelievable. I sat out in my t-shirt on Saturday to
cook my full English and even did the same on Sunday, not bad for
February.

Being part of the team who managed to solve the inflatable mystery was a
pleasure and I'm proud to say in true Max Boyce fashion "I Was There".
Great Limber is an ideal spot and a lovely village. We re-traced our
steps from last year's picnic (not that we are creatures of habit) and
relaxed in preparation for the extravaganza which took place on the
Saturday night.
The food was excellent which is no mean feat when catering for such
number. All served up by authentic Chinese people doing their best to
look normal (well, and Wayne!).

I enjoyed the quiz (no cheating possible) and even the chopstick
challenge, although if any footage appears on YouTube of your attempt to
thwart my final against Helen Sissons (her with the wonky eyes) then you
are warned I will sue!!!!!
The magical lanterns really were a lovely finish to the evening (it
didn't get any better than that according to Collette) and i think the
effect on everybody was clear to see.
Inspired and a great relaxing weekend.
I look forward to seeing you all again and thanks for organising
everything.
Dan & family.
